## Working notes
For the ordinary route, check residency, [[Petition for Dissolution (FL-100)]], [[Summons (FL-110)]], [[Declaration Under UCCJEA (FL-105)]] when applicable, and [[Family Law Case Cover Sheet and Certificate of Grounds for Assignment to District (FAM-020)]]. [[Cal. Fam. Code § 2320]] addresses residency; [[Cal. Fam. Code § 2040]] addresses the standard temporary restraints.
Service, response, financial disclosures, and judgment are separate stages. Disclosure resources include [[Declaration of Disclosure (FL-140)]], [[Schedule of Assets and Debts (FL-142)]], [[Income and Expense Declaration (FL-150)]], and [[Declaration Regarding Service of Declaration of Disclosure and Income and Expense Declaration (FL-141)]]. A waiting period is not an automatic divorce. Confirm the actual status-termination date in the judgment. California’s 2026 joint-petition procedure is an alternative with its own instructions.

For service and response paperwork, see [[Proof of Service of Summons (FL-115)]] and [[Response to Marriage or Domestic Partnership Petition (FL-120)]].
