The final version of this page is at: > https://atharkhan.com/glossary/dissomaster-software/ > [!warning] Historical software > DissoMaster was discontinued effective March 31, 2025. Keep older printouts in their historical context; do not treat the program as a currently certified calculator. ## Working notes DissoMaster belongs with the support-calculation tools used in California family law. The useful distinction is between the software, the legal formula it applies, and the facts entered into it. - [[Cal. Fam. Code § 4055]] contains the statewide child support formula, its variables, the multiple-child factors, and the low-income adjustment provisions. - [[Cal. Fam. Code § 3830]] supplies the statutory requirement for court-used software to conform to Judicial Council standards. - [[Cal. Rules of Court, Rule 5.275]] supplies the standards and certification process. Its Title IV-D requirement matters when a local child support agency is involved. > [!tip] Comparing calculators > [[XSpouse (Software)|XSpouse]] is a current alternative. Compare the inputs and the period being calculated, rather than assuming that changing the software alone explains a different result. Check the Judicial Council’s current certification list before relying on a product’s status. ## Source checks The [California Lawyers Association’s transition guide](https://calawyers.org/publications/family-law/family-law-news-volume-47-issue-1-2025-navigating-the-change-from-dissomaster-to-xspouse/) describes the March 2025 discontinuation and transition to XSpouse. The [Judicial Council certification list](https://courts.ca.gov/programs-initiatives/families-and-children/family-law/ab-1058-child-support-program/guideline-support-calculators) was checked October 23, 2026. DissoMaster is absent from the current list. The statute and rule notes linked above contain the full official text, not just these working observations.
